The Staffs Opinion

The highway speeds combined with very twisty turns are a departure to the slower pace of secondary roads. This is a fantastic ride and I would defiantly travel east in the afternoon and west in the morning in an effort to keep the sun out of your eyes. We enjoy this road, it is a great way to move quickly from Pigeon Forge to Hendersonville or Ashville. I would suggest not riding it if there is heavy traffic, Fridays and weekends seem to be the worst for traffic. On this road you will have sharp, fast switchbacks and some great sweeping turns that you can lean into.
